Jewellery Care & Material Information

Our jewellery is primarily made from 925 Sterling Silver, 18K & 14K Gold-Finished Sterling Silver, Stainless Steel, and Platinum-Finished Copper (Aura Cuff, Luxe 5mm Tennis Necklace & Bracelet).

Oxidisation

Oxidisation can occur with any jewellery, especially when exposed to moisture and chemicals. Some skin oils can cause jewellery to oxidise more quickly—this is not a fault with the item.

Jewellery oxidises due to various factors, including:

• Residue from skin oils
• Moisture in the air
• Heat exposure
• Sulfur-containing gases in the environment

Sterling Silver jewellery may darken over time, but this can be easily removed with a sterling silver polishing cloth.

To reduce the likelihood of oxidisation, limit exposure to chemicals such as perfumes and fake tan, as they can accelerate the process. Oxidisation due to improper care is not considered a fault.

Care Instructions for Non-Sterling Silver/Stainless Steel Jewellery

Jewellery made from Copper or Brass requires proper care and will tarnish over time if instructions are not followed. Long-term wear may also cause slight colour changes—this is a natural characteristic, not a fault.

To prevent tarnishing and discolouration, follow these care instructions:

• Keep jewellery dry – avoid showering, swimming (chlorinated water), or sunbeds.
• Avoid chemical exposure – do not let jewellery come into contact with moisturiser, fake tan, sweat, or perfume.
• Store properly – place items in Luxe Emporium jewellery boxes when not in use.

Jewellery that has tarnished due to improper care is not considered faulty.
